This year in Maryland, we completed the economic impact study for our single payer bill, the Maryland Health Security Act: http://www.mdsinglepayer.org/financing-the-maryland-health-security-act/ . We have also been working to raise funds and to create a structure so that we can launch our Health Care is a Human Right campaign to build the grassroots. The HCHR campaign is being organized by the Maryland chapters of Healthcare-Now and PNHP and the United Workers. We are currently hiring a full-time organizer and we expect to launch the campaign this fall.
